Although the parking lot seemed crowded, inside the park wasn't. The area is rather large so there was never a time where we bottle necked with other visitors. There was a constant flow. They have benches to sit at and picnic tables. They had soda and water you could buy in the shop with toys and trinkets.

A decent zoo in Reston. Quite a few animals for a small space and most of them are able to be fed. My kids really enjoyed running from space to space trying to feed the different animals. The budgie cage was particularly cool. Lots of birds to flock you and feed. My only complaint is the price. It is a little expensive per person.

I have driven by this place for years and didn't know the hidden gem I was passing up each weekend. So close and just down the road. Who knew!

Fabulous little zoo. Enjoyed the safari ride. Make sure you buy carrot sticks to feed the animals on the safari ride. The animals come right to the window and take the food from your hand. You can also feed Waffles, the 3 year old giraffe.

Also, make sure you do the bird feeding with the sticks. SO MUCH FUN! They land right on you. There were so many birds and they had no fear. It was every bird for himself. What a fun part of the park!

LOVED this place!

This place was an absolute blast. So many things to see here and the animals love it. There were constantly animals coming up to you. If you are a kid or an adult- you will be entertained.

Fabulous! Fun day for our family. Perfect for young children. Our 7, 4, and near 2 year old all loved it. Spent a relaxed three hour day exploring and interacting with the animals. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend.

People say it is priced too high, but I am willing to pay for a place so close and so easy to get to! It cost extra to get the feed for the animals, but animals are expensive to keep. I don't blame them for charging a little extra because it was that much fun to see the animals push each other aside for some food.

Friendly helpful staff, and a nice facility. Our most recent visit was late in the day on Monday, which was the Labor Day Holiday. I feel like this wasn't the best time to go, being later in the day. Most of the animals have been fed a lot throughout the day, and we're tired and we're not approaching the fence or my children. I'm guessing that was just due to the large crowds that the zoo had that day. We got to feed the giraffe, whose name is waffles. He is gentle, and it's a really neat experience to be so close to such an amazing animal! I would recommend this for a day trip with young kids. While the entry fee isn't cheap, and they charge separately for cups of food, seeds for the birds, and bottles for the baby goats, if you stay for a few hours, it is worth it!
